I say, let yourself watch as much TV and do as much gardening as you can handle for a couple weeks and recharge! You deserve it!Carissahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10594436685900756259noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-64458552548825390732012-05-03T00:01:57.932+10:002012-05-03T00:01:57.932+10:00Congrats on the completion of your work. I feel you about the funk :/ Sometimes I just run into so many books that are just OK--not really bad, but not so great I want to review. That's usually around the time when I move from YA to adult, just for a little breather. Too much angst, like you said, can get old. But I usually find my way back to YA. *shrugs* I actually had this a little while back. Then I kinda forced myself to start reading again, but I only picked up books that I KNEW were going to keep my interested/drive me to the finish. Also, usually means returning to the writers I know and love. Luckily a new Black Dagger Brotherhood book came out to light my fire again ;)
Hope you have a great week!
Ninja GirlNinja Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00901215698632029838noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-7769869642880625262012-04-25T01:05:01.265+10:002012-04-25T01:05:01.265+10:00Yay! I think you have to stop trying to become interested, go do whatever else interests you, and one day the desire to read will come back like magic. All of the sudden, you'll pick something up and be fascinated and not want to put it down.TheReadingPenguinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09732545193031333377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-21918077577599300802012-04-24T22:29:10.755+10:002012-04-24T22:29:10.755+10:00Yayyyy!!! Reading is supposed to be fun for all of us bloggers, not a requirement. If you dont feel it, dont do it. Enjoy reading when you feel like it and blog when you have something to say.

HA! You said summer's over and I literally got angry and confused. I'm like "How'd I miss summer? I thought spring just ended. Did I miss something?" (thats just how out of it i've been lately) But then I realized its over for you, and starting for us, and that I'm not a crazy recluse after all!Sherrehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05132055588504532128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-32092465165317006992012-04-24T10:55:06.418+10:002012-04-24T10:55:06.418+10:00Congrats on finishing your book! Or reread an old favorite to remind yourself why you love reading. Good luck, and happy Monday!Alexia561https://www.blogger.com/profile/10797515620050469395noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-5077464800998585202012-04-24T09:51:05.466+10:002012-04-24T09:51:05.466+10:00OH, yeah, I know all about that whole feeling &quo...OH, yeah, I know all about that whole feeling "If I have to read my MS one more time, I swear...!" That's what sucks about writing--that you have to reread and reread and reread a million times the SAME thing that you wrote, and how can you even like it anymore after all of that??!

But, congrats again on finishing it cause it's such a hard and frustrating thing to do. Sometimes I just want to ignore my blog, too, nowadays, but then again, I like blabbing about stuff on there. My regular readers are hating my blog these days, lol.Cathy Keatonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18356112948372149785noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-10931819095144284012012-04-24T09:05:50.315+10:002012-04-24T09:05:50.315+10:00Yay for finishing your book! That is beyond awesome. :) Every once in awhile I have to take a break from YA madness and read something adult (usually a classic, like right now it's Jane Austen). I find after that I'm usually itching for some YA angst. ;) Plus, I read quite a bit of Middle Grade too which (usually) isn't as angst filled as YA.

And yes for Bones! LOVE that show. :)Kristen Eveyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03311958096675391297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2249141384507760517.post-59838169872283713722012-04-24T08:51:02.923+10:002012-04-24T08:51:02.923+10:00Congrats on finishing your manuscript! I've gotten behind on a few of my favorites though. I just forget to catch up online with ones I miss. Too distracted some days! Oh, and with the blog, there's always moments where you can barely keep it up with the reading and blog posts. You'll make it through. Find something you REALLY want to read, or REALLY want to blog about, even non-book related. That might break you out of the slump. :)Jessica L. I also thought that I just got tired of all drama in YA books, but it turns out that I was just in a phase! I hope you'll discover a great read soon and get rid of the feeling! For now, I hope you're content with your gardening hobby! This is random but I always wish that I have a green thumb like you! <3

CONGRATULATION for finishing Seeder's Poison! I hope I can do a congratulation party for you right now LOL! I hope the book has something to do with poison, because then it's just SO FREAKIN AMAZING! Although you made me choke on my cookie when you said that you're getting "way too old and cynical..." Definitely not LOL! I think we just need to find you the right epic books! x)

And YAAAAAAAAAY! *runs around clapping with you* That's so amazing how you finished Seeder's Poison, Lan!! The re-reading-and-editing-and-questioning-why-you-have-to-keep-re-reading-it part is probably not the funnest, but just think: Soon we'll all be able to read your book too! That makes it all worth it, right? :)

I hope you have an amazing Monday, Lan! <3Mimi Valentinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04241457025232914551noreply@blogger.com
