Follow Friday (12): Book Body Snatcher!

Follow Friday is a weekly meme hosted by Parajunkie and Alison. It's a really fun way to get to know other bloggers and pick up a few new followers on the way.

This week's question is: If you could pick one character in a book, movie or television show to swap places with, who would it be?

At the moment, I am trying to think of a character I want to be, but I keep coming up with reasons why their lives are pretty messed up. This is what happens when your favourite books are paranormal/dystopian YA. I think I might have to go the opposite way and say Laura Ingalls Wilder because I'd love to see what life would be like in pioneer times :)

What did you guys pick this week? Drop me a comment and let me know!

  1. You know how easy of a question this is for me. Believe it or not I tried to stay away from the obvious choice of mine.

  3. OMG, I love Little House on the Prairie! I used to come home from school and rush to get my homework done just so I could watch the back to back episodes on The Hallmark Channel. NONE of my friends understood my obsession with that show. So I'd be right there with you, bonnet and all, in Walnut Grove

  4. Hopping through. It'd be cool to be Laura. Although her life had a lot of problems too. But a lot of good sides as well.

  5. I agree about characters lives being messed up, there are so many i would love to be but i don't think i could deal with the stuff they have to do to get their happy ending *le sigh*
That's why i reckon being Anna or Lola from Stephanie Perkin's books would be a great compromise :)
Have an awesome weekend, and stop by if you can!

  6. Fairytale Nerd: Thanks for the follow!

Ash: I can already tell what your answer is!

    Sharon: Happy Friday!

Kristan: Don't you love this whole series? I don't know why but something about the vast prairie makes me feel so free :)

Alison: I agree, Laura has so problems but I think that they're much more manageable than vampires and Hunger Games so I had to go with her life!

Imo: Thanks for stopping by. Haven't read Anna or Lola yet but def plan to!

  8. I wouldn't mind going back to the prairie days. It seemed so much simpler then. Being Laura would be cool. She always kept things a little interesting.

Thanks for following. I followed back :)

  13. What a great choice! And as much fun as dystopian is to READ, I definitely wouldn't want to live there!

  15. I loved your answer. It's true dystopian and paranormal reads can make for difficult lives.

  16. Yeah, I expected my choice to be from a paranormal book, because I'd love to have superpowers. But then I remembered almost everyone from those worlds has pretty traumatic lives. I wouldn't want to go back to Little House times, though - I couldn't live without the internet!

  17. It's funny because in real life I consider myself a pretty low key person. But I feel like if I were going to switch I would want some excitement.

  23. Ah, Little House! Such great books. I grew up with Laura, and have read the series to my kids as well. Timeless, sweet stories...

(...but I don't think I could survive without hot, running water!)

  24. Just stopping by ! thanks for following my blog ! following back :D

  25. Nora: I'll try and check out the Dark Hunter series.

BJ: Yeah hot running water is a big issue. I would give it up for that kind of wild existence though. And yet weirdly I hate camping. I think the sewerage issue the the bigger one for me.

    Ishita: Thanks for stopping by.
